The Aztec Ruins National Monument near Farmington, NM is composed of over 400 ruins. These ruins are roughly 900 years-old and are part of the ancient ancestral Pueblo culture. The ruins are quite extensive and some of the best preserved in the US. The Great House and Great Kiva are particularly impressive. There’s a reconstructed Kiva on-site, so you can fully immerse yourself in what the Kivas must have been like. Many of the original timbers have been preserved over the centuries. Truly a special place.
