Ballarat, CA is a virtual ghost town, with a single full-time resident.  Rocky runs the general store, selling refreshments to those that make their way through the area.  It’s a popular stopping point in Death Valley for 4-wheelers.  There’s not much to this place, but it does have some notable pop-culture history, being featured in the 1969 movie Easy Rider.  The old truck purportedly belonged to the Manson family and has been nicknamed “The Body Hauler” (the Manson family hideout at Barker Ranch is nearby).
