The Pahranagat Wash cuts through the heart of the Pahranagat Valley and includes the Red Tail Hawk Origin SiteUpper, Middle and Lower Pahranagat Lakes.  This entire area is LOADED with amazing ancient rock art, including the very unique Pahranagat Man.  If you’ve read other parts of this blog, you know my feelings on the Pahranagat Valley…I absolutely love this area!

Not only are there some truly great pictographs and petroglyphs, but this area also contains several types of rock alignments.  There are ancient rock rings, hunting blinds and rock walls.  I also find it interesting that there are some pictograph designs that are almost exactly the same as what can be found in Keyhole Canyon, over 125 miles south.
