The Prospect Trail is an 11-mile (5.5 mile one-way) trail located in the awesome Valley of Fire, in the Moapa Valley area of Nevada.  Like everything in the surrounding area, it’s extremely beautiful, due to the stunning landscape.  This is a rather easy hike, with just a few light scrambles.  But, be cautious with the time of year, as temperatures can approach 120-degrees Fahrenheit in the summer time.  It was late May when Jeff and I hiked this trail and it was H-O-T!  You can do this hike one-way, if you’d prefer, starting at either end and having a ride ready for you at the opposite end of the trail (as it’s not a loop).
