Redstone Discovery Trail is located at mile marker 25 of Northshore Drive in the expansive 1.5 Million acre Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Although it sounds similar, it’s not the same as the Redstone area, which is just a mile or two further northeast on Northshore Dr.

This trail leads out to some spectacular red Aztec outcroppings and amazing views of the LMNRA. Throughout the hike you’ll have some beautiful views of the mountains, Pinto Valley, The Colosseum, and other areas. The outcroppings are much larger and deeper than the pictures make them out to be. You can spend several days scrambling in & out of them, exploring all they have to offer (views, petroglyphs, etc.).
