Seven Magic Mountains is a large scale, outdoor art installation in the Mojave Desert, just south of Las Vegas.  Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone, has brought this magnificent piece of art to life with towering stacked boulders, painted in vivid, bold colors, set against the stark desert scenery and deep blue sky.  The art installation is roughly 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, off Las Vegas Blvd.  At times, it can be quite busy with tourists and photographers, as well as those passing by.  I find the art to be most striking at dusk…simply beautiful with the setting sun.

Originally, the installation was to be removed in 2018.  But, it’s become so popular the overwhelming response was to keep it open through at least the end of 2021.
