The Sixmile Flat South area of the Pahranagat Valley is an interesting location.  It’s towards the southern end of the flat and across the state highway.  There are several designs unique to the  Pahranagat area, including a couple well defined Pahranagat Men and some Pahranagat Pattern Body Anthropomorphs (PBAs) – click here to learn more.  There’s also what appears to be a horned figure holding an atlatl (a throwing stick, which predates the bow and arrow) over a big horn sheep.  It’s generally accepted that horned figures represented shamans.  Because of the depictions of the atlatls (and Pahranagat PBAs), it shows how ancient these stories carved in rock are.  With this information, you can imagine the story that this small rock etching tells.
