I’ve seen this particular petroglyph called Spiderman, the Bugman and Shape Shifter.  What does it mean?  No one really knows, but it’s very unique and the only known petroglyph like this.  There are several other petroglyphs strewn across many boulders in this same area.  You can easily identify the different ages, based on the weathering and fading of the patina.  The greater Black Canyon Wilderness Area contains lots of great locations to explore.
