The Calendar Fence is located within the White River Narrows archaeological district in Lincoln County, NV. It contains two panels, with the main panel often referred to as “The Calendar Fence.” It’s speculated that the long line with dashes are used to mark key days of the year (e.g., spring equinox, etc.) as shadows cast along the line (although no one really knows). This is a beautiful area and the broader White River Narrows has lots of ancient petroglyphs to explore. Please take a look at my other galleries for more on White River Narrows.
